Angela Holland is a United States Air Force veteran, mom of 4 children, Empowered to Connect trainer, author and co-founder of Hope Fort Worth. Her two youngest have special needs and her youngest son, Ethan, was adopted 2 years ago from China. In 2015, Angela and her husband co-founded Hope Fort Worth, a non-profit orphan care ministry in Fort Worth, Texas, whose goal is to equip the local church to care for vulnerable and orphaned children in the community.
After her son, Ryan, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Angela was inspired to author a book, I Like Storms: 22 Stories of Faith. Angela’s life message is that often when we suffer hardships, it is like we are looking at the back of canvas. We only see the lines and the blotchy paint, but if we would only turn it around we would see a Beautiful Picture. Her desire is to bring awareness, compassion, and understanding for foster, adoptive and special needs children by building a bridge of hope through her personal stories and education.
Candice Mummert is an encourager at heart. As God is calling her into more teaching and writing, He is also growing her the desire to pour into relationships of all kinds, especially marriages.
Her book, From Single to the Knot, has brought her down an unexpected path of becoming a published author. Over the last several years she has grown to love and anticipate the adventure God will call her to. After two big moves away from friends and family, adoption, and now becoming an author and teacher, Candice’s faith has grown in a way that she never saw coming. Her heart is focused on sharing life and perspective in a way that encourages others to be overcomers and set audacious goals according to God’s word and His callings on each of our lives.
She has a degree in Early Childhood Special Education and has been comfortable with a microphone since her first solo in Kindergarten. As the mother of 5 young children, she homeschools and is thankful for a husband, of 16 years, who supports her in all of the crazy and nudges her forward in the walk of faith.
